CNC Machining
CNC machining is a manufacturing process that uses computer numerical control (CNC) to automate the operation of machine tools. It involves pre-programmed computer software to control the movement of tools like mills, lathes, and routers, enabling precise shaping of materials through a subtractive process, where material is removed to create the desired part.
Types of CNC Machining
CNC Turning
CNC turning is a subtractive manufacturing process where a rotating workpiece is shaped by a cutting tool controlled by a computer. This process, also known as CNC lathe machining, is used to create various cylindrical, conical, and helical shapes. We have manufactured a wide variety of parts, including shafts, valves, sleeves, plugs, adapters, bushings, bolts, gears, and pins.
CNC Milling
CNC milling is a subtractive manufacturing process where a computer-controlled milling machine removes material from a workpiece to create a desired shape. It uses rotating cutting tools to precisely cut and shape the material based on programmed instructions.
CNC Drilling
CNC drilling creates precise holes in various materials. It involves programming a CNC machine with specific instructions for hole placement, depth, and size, allowing for accurate and repeatable drilling operations.
CNC Grinding
CNC grinding uses computer-controlled abrasive wheels to remove material from a workpiece, creating precise shapes and smooth surfaces. It is a highly accurate and repeatable method, ideal for producing complex parts with tight tolerances.
EDM
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) shapes materials by using electrical discharges (sparks) to erode material from a workpiece. It's a non-contact machining process, meaning the electrode and workpiece don't physically touch, making it suitable for machining hard and intricate shapes. EDM is also known as spark machining or spark eroding.
